This item is required when going from Short Action to Long Action on the Tikka T3/T3X. On earlier model Tikka T3’s the bolt stop could be filed back to enable sufficient bolt travel to pick up the rounds, however newer models have a hollowed section inside the bolt stops which basically prevents any alteration. On the 223 or 7mm-08 for example, the rearward movement of the bolt is restricted by the bolt stop shoulder which is about 10mm forward of the long action bolt stop. This long action T3 & T3X bolt stop is made from 316 stainless, then beaded for finish. |
